Everyone I know that climbs in Atlanta has been to this place at least a thousand times. The place breeds stories, among other things. The first night I camped there I was serenaded by the voice of Rod Steward till 4:00 in the morning via camper Billy Bob and his maurading gang of local funsters. Meanwhile I had to defend my small campsite from being trashed by the always courtious dusk-till-dawn four wheelers. Lately we were treated to fireworks being thrown into our camp by ATV's at 3:00 in the morning.

Although the place is a little backwards... it definitly makes up for it in its multitude of perfect sandstone. If your like most people, you could visit the place a thousand times, and still not climb everything. It has a large assortment of grades ranging from beginner (get there early if you want to climb the good stuff, lots of classes are held there) to the high end, whereas most lie in the intermediate range. If you hav'nt been ther yet, get ready to say "that looks like a Flintstone stearing wheel". Have loads of webbing ready to sling some horns (most routes are toproped), about 10 quickdraws will do, a small rack for setting anchors, plenty of water (there's none in sight), and dont forget the tp and a shovel if your camping.
